What We’re Looking For

We publish original, well-researched, and engaging content across the following categories:

  • Technology news, analysis, and opinion
  • Gaming reviews, features, and retrospectives
  • Digital art, creative culture, and online communities
  • Long-form essays and investigative pieces
  • Interviews with artists, developers, and creators
  • Lists, guides, and explainers on tech and gaming topics

Submission Guidelines

We Love

  • Original, unpublished work
  • Strong, clear writing with a distinct voice
  • 800–2,000 words for features
  • Factual accuracy with sources cited
  • A clear angle or argument

We Don’t Accept

  • AI-generated or plagiarised content
  • Content published elsewhere
  • Overly promotional or PR-style writing
  • Content without clear editorial value
  • Submissions without a pitch first

  • A backlink to your personal site or portfolio
  • Promotion across Glitch Magazine’s social channels
  • The chance to grow your readership and portfolio

At this stage, contributions are unpaid. As the magazine grows, we aim to introduce contributor compensation.

How to Pitch

Email your pitch to admin@glitchmagazine.co.uk with the subject line: Pitch: [Your Article Title]

Your pitch should include:

  • A working title
  • A 2–3 sentence summary of your article idea
  • Why it’s relevant to our readers right now
  • Your name and a link to any previous writing (optional)

We aim to respond to all pitches within 7 business days. If you haven’t heard back after that, feel free to follow up.
